Pippi!!

Sometimes, you just need proof that something, way back in your vague childhood recollections, actually existed. It is at these times, when I feel like an archeologist searching on the internet. Here is a tiny clip I unearthed. Astrid Lindgren's children's book, Pippi Longstocking, was adapted in 1973 for the screen, starring Inger Nilsson as the irrepressible Pippi. (image: via)

Comments:

There were more than one movie. They all rocked when I was a kid (even though I wasn't born until 1981). How can you not like the punk-ass girl who can lift a horse, and gets to have a monkey as a pet?

Just to clarify: I'm thinking of the tv-series. The feature films never struck me as particulary good...
