US Bombing in Iraq

This is the furthest we'll ever go with violent imagery and this is a very, very rare extreme (I'm still not sure how I feel about posting this); you can not see anyone being killed though its likely many deaths and injuries occurred from this US attack on what appears to be Iraq. (a) Note how an entire city block is instantly disintegrated. (b) Try a frame advance and note the force of debris as it misses the soldiers by inches. [from Fototime served here. Comments:

Look carefully at the soldier closest to the camera-- he has a disposable camera ready to take a picture of the "action". Like it's some kind of sport.

Postcards from the edge.

And look at the moving bush in the bottom centre, there's a bird that comes flying out of it at warp speed.

This was a Marine unit. They had been receiving fire from the minuret. Policy is not to destroy these unless you are being fired at. The bomb is a 500lb GPS guided bomb. It did not destroy the entire block. It didn't even destroy the entire building. It did kill whoever was in the minuret firing on the Marines. These Marines did take pictures of the action Todd - they also shot the video.
